Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: April 11, 2026
Effective Date: April 11, 2026
Operated By: SafariRanthambore

We understand that travel plans can change. This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms under which you may cancel your safari booking and the refund you may be entitled to.

1. Cancellation by Guest

The refund amount depends on how far in advance you cancel before your scheduled safari date:

Cancellation Window Refund Amount Deduction
30+ days before safari Full refund ₹500/person processing fee
15–29 days before safari 50% refund 50% of total booking amount
7–14 days before safari 25% refund 75% of total booking amount
Less than 7 days before safari No refund 100% — booking is non-refundable
No-show (no cancellation) No refund 100% — booking is non-refundable

💡 Pro Tip: Reschedule Instead of Cancel

If your plans change, we can often reschedule your safari to a different date (subject to availability) — this is usually more cost-effective than cancelling and rebooking.

2. How to Cancel

To cancel your booking, contact us through any of these channels:

Cancellation is effective from the date and time we receive and acknowledge your cancellation request (not the date you sent it).

3. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days
  • Refunds will be credited to the original payment method (UPI, bank account, or card)
  • International wire transfer refunds may take 15–20 business days
  • We will notify you via email/WhatsApp when the refund has been initiated

4. Cancellation by SafariRanthambore

We may cancel your booking in the following cases:

  • Permit unavailability: If the Forest Department is unable to issue permits for your requested date/zone
  • Incorrect information: If you provided incorrect or fraudulent ID details
  • Payment failure: If payment is not received within the communicated deadline

In case of cancellation by us due to permit unavailability, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no extra cost.

5. Park Closure / Force Majeure

If the safari is cancelled due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, including:

  • Park closure by the Forest Department
  • Heavy rain, flooding, or extreme weather
  • Government orders or national emergencies
  • Natural disasters or wildlife safety concerns

In such cases, you will receive:

  • Option A: Full refund (processed within 7–10 business days)
  • Option B: Free rescheduling to any available date within 6 months

6. Rescheduling Policy

Reschedule Window Fee Conditions
15+ days before safari Free One free reschedule allowed; subject to availability
7–14 days before safari ₹500/person Rescheduling fee applies; subject to availability
Less than 7 days Not available Rescheduling not possible; cancellation policy applies

7. Partial Cancellation

If you have booked multiple safaris or multiple travelers:

  • You may cancel individual safari slots without affecting the rest of the booking
  • Refund for the cancelled slot follows the standard cancellation timeline above
  • If the remaining group size falls below the minimum required for the vehicle type, additional charges may apply

8. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • You do not show up for the safari ("no-show")
  • You are denied entry due to incorrect ID information provided by you
  • You arrive late and miss the safari departure
  • You are removed from the safari for violating park rules
  • You did not see a tiger or specific wildlife (sightings are never guaranteed)
